Publication of a catalogue of 0gms Gallery in a Drawer

| 0gms is an initiative of the artists Steven Guermeur, Ivan Moudov and Kamen Stoyanov. The figure “0” in the name of the gallery comes as a strategy of presentation, making possible the gallery to be the first in each list in art fairs, biennials or other art platforms. One form of existence of the gallery 0gms is as a gallery in a drawer following an idea of the artist Ivan Moudov. In May 2010 opened the first 0gms gallery in one of the drawers in the kitchen of the Institute of Contemporary Art, Sofia. 0gms gallery in a drawer is a project for a catalogue, which aims to present this particular activity of the 0gms Gallery in the period between 2008 and 2013. In the publication are included: Information about the initiative and the beginning of the collaborative project 0gms in 2008; a calendar of the exhibitions, that took place in the drawer in the kitchen of the gallery of the Institute of Contemporary Art, Sofia, as well as other exhibitions in Zürich, Rotterdam, Vienna, Nagoya, Jakarta etc.
The catalogue presents the work of the artists, who participated with solo exhibitions or as a part of group shows in the gallery-in-the-drawer. The edition also includes texts that put into question the contemporary art market and the place of the young artists. |
