Ladies Only (A calatogue of Lubri)

Sariev Contemporary, Plovdiv

Lubri was born 1977 in Sofia, Bulgaria, where he still lives and works.

His solo shows are: Motorbike, Marijuana, Dum-dum (2018), One Night Stand Gallery, Sofia; Eclectics (2016), Vaska Emanuilova Gallery, Sofia; Second Nature (2013), Sariev Contemporary, Plovdiv; Background: Young Artists, Backup (2011), Sariev Gallery, Plovdiv; Boys Don‘t Cry Indeed (2007), Pistolet Gallery, Sofia.

His work has been included in the books: Future Images – A collection of the World’s Best Young Photographers, Mario Cresci and Radu Stern, Italy, 2010; The Bulgarian Nouvelle Vague, Sofia, 2012, published at FANTOM – Photographic Quarterly, issue 09, Milano, 2012, and covered by Edno Magazine, Vice Magazine, the newspaper 39 Grams and Fantom Magazine.

Ladies Only is the first catalogue of one of the most interesting young Bulgarian photographers Lubri. It was published on the occasion of the exhibition Ladies Only by Lubri in the gallery representing the artist – Sariev Contemporary, in 2018.

The catalogue consists of of photographic images taken by Lubri at various locations throughout the last seven years.
